Today is Poetry Day.
March 21st was proclaimed World Poetry Day in 1999 by the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation. The aim of the day is to promote the reading, writing, publishing and teaching of poetry throughout the world.
To mark the day I was going to put a little poem on my blog - but... I changed my mind!

Thanks to Addy and Sue for their ace poems. At least someone entered into the spirit of the day.
I know I should have added one too(or even a bit of faff) and I meant to come back and do it - but the moment seems to have passed me by now. Maybe another next year!
I must also say a big thank you to Ellie for giving me a thinking award. I have read the rules and plan to give it a try myself - hopefully in my next blog.

Is a special thing,
It makes my heart
Leap and sing.
A few moments of joy
I hope to bring.
Oh dear, stop laughing now, Candy. That was my best attempt.
Aww! I had no idea. March 21st is my twins birthday. So it's a special day all around. :)
